Whether it’s a close encounter with a deadly spider, a swooping seagull or even a being from another planet, the brief is down to the individual’s own interpretation. Calumet is offering Gift Cards worth £250 for the picture with the most votes, plus, the winning picture will feature on all Calumet’s branding, marketing and advertising for its Autumn Encounter More Open Days.

“This is a fantastic project for someone interested in photography to work on, use their imagination and get creative with a camera,” says Jon Warner, Managing Director of Calumet Photographic.

“As well as the prize money, the winner gets the credit from having their image used across the campaign, which will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people. It’s an exciting photography challenge for summer,” he added.

The Close Encounters competition ends on Sunday 31 July.

Entries to the competition are submitted through an online gallery which can be found through Calumet’s Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/calumetphotouk (alternatively http://bit.ly/1VWQTyo). The winner with the most likes on the competition gallery will be announced shortly after the competition ends.
