Milton Keynes Council receives honours at Building Excellence Awards

Milton Keynes Council has won two prestigious honours at the LABC Building Excellence Awards for its work converting a barn and for the building of a new school.

The awards - held in Milton Keynes - saw the council’s Building Control Team take the Central region award category for ‘Best change of use of an existing building or conversion,’ for Granary Barn at Weston Underwood, and with the council’s Capital Team, also won the category for ‘Best education building’ for Brooklands Farm Primary School.

“LABC is the largest building control provider in England and Wales and is totally committed to delivering the best building control service to our customers, helping them to achieve compliance with the requirements of the Building Regulations through a positive and pro-active approach,” said Ben Langford, chair of LABC Central Region.
