The Young Architect Competition is now open

Anyone aged four – 19 years attending a school, college or being home educated in MK can enter.

The winner will have their building design professionally modelled by an architect, using Computer Aided Design and will also be awarded an exciting prize for their school.

Shortlisted entrants will see their designs featured in the MK Gallery Young Architect 2018 Project Space exhibition, located within the MK Gallery City Club, from 6-28 July.

MK Gallery is undergoing a major expansion, and will reopen in 2019 with doubled exhibition spaces; facilities for cinema, performances and events; dedicated education and community resources; and a new café.

In the meantime, citizens of Milton Keynes are invited to be a part of the City Club, a new space for everyone to enjoy. It’s a space that can be accessed online or when it pops up across the city. When MK Gallery reopens, it will be a permanent space for people to visit at any time. This competition invites younger audiences to tell us what a building at the City Club might look like. The deadline for entries is 1 June 2018.
