Top grades were up again at The Milton Keynes Academy as youngsters picked up their GCSE results.
This year marks a major change for students nationally, with almost all GCSEs now awarded a grade from 1-9 rather than A*-E. And The Milton Keynes Academy had an impressive five per cent increase on last year’s results in those achieving good passes in both English and maths.
As well as strong overall results, there were a number of personal success stories including two students, collectively achieving an incredible 20 grade 7s or above and excited about their next steps.
Principal Fiona Seddon said: “Despite the government’s move to toughen up GCSEs, our students have risen to the challenges and are rightly reaping the results.
“It was great to see so many happy young people delighted that their hard work paid off. We are proud of our students and thankful to the teachers and families who have worked tirelessly to support them.
“We look forward to welcoming them into our Sixth form and wish all students the very best for the future.”
