Milton Keynes GCSE results: The Webber Independent School

Students and staff alike spoke of their GCSE pride at The Webber Independent School.

47.22 per cent of students achieved grades 9 to 7.

Tharsan Baskaran was most pleased with his top three grades, achieving 9s in maths, physics and chemistry. He said: “I’m so happy, the build-up to this day has been intense and I am really pleased that I’ve done so well.

“I can’t thank my teachers and parents enough for their support in preparing me for my GCSEs.”

Joshua Anderson was smiling about his results, achieving two 9s, three 8s and two 7s. He said: “I just can’t stop smiling; before joining Webber I didn’t believe I had it in me to do so well in my exams. I so pleased with my results, and I’m looking forward to returning to the sixth form in September.”

Fellow student Eliza Chin, said: “I am really happy with all of my grades especially my 9 in physics and my six 8s in French, geography, German, Latin, maths and Spanish.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating my success before studying for my A Levels. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Webber and I would like to thank my tutors for their encouragement and for providing a great learning environment.”

Headteacher Hilary Marsden said: “All of our students should be really proud, these are our best-ever GCSE results.

“As individuals, their achievements and attitudes will open up opportunities as they move forward in their educational and life journey. We wish them all the best for their future endeavours.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the teaching and support staff for their commitment and focus in helping our students achieve their potential.”
