On Saturday (March 25) the MK Biergarten and York House are collaborating to bring a true craft beer festival to Milton Keynes.
York House Community Centre in Stony Stratford will play host to craft beer and real ale, talks about brewing and beer, street food and music.
In the main room of York House, staff in traditional Bavaria dress will be serving German lager and three types of craft beer from all over the UK and beyond. Visitors can expect a changing range of pale and dark ales in addition to speciality beers like ‘Sour Beers’ and strong ales.
For visitors whowould like to toast the event with a local brew, Hornes Brewery from Bow Brickhill will have a Real Ale bar upstairs.
MK Biergarten has a passion for craft beer and looks forward to engaging visitors with a true festival of brewing: in the back room brewers, artist and specialists will discuss the art of making, distributing and marketing beers in different sessions throughout the afternoon.
There will be plentyof free samples and the event culminates in a ‘Beer Dinner’ which will be held later in the evening.
Franzi Florack, the manager of the Biergarten says: ‘After the success of our ‘Oktoberfest’ in autumn 2016 we are delighted to return to York House and share the joy of beer once more. This time, we have included all of our favourite German attributes and added the best of UK craft beer festivals.
It’s going to be a relaxed and fun day with fantastic food and drink.’
Entry is £5 and includes a commemorative glass. Children are welcome until 8pm. Anyone attending in traditional dress will receive a £2 discount on the door. A limited range of cider and wine as well as non-alcoholic drinks will be on sale for non-beer drinkers.
