Milton Keynes leisure facilities managers 1Life announce 50 new jobs

The private company that took over five of the city's main leisure venues from the council has announced it is creating 50 new jobs.

Leading leisure management company won the right to operate five new sites in Milton Keynes earlier this year.

1Life Management Solutions now operate Windmill Hill Golf Club, Woughton Leisure Centre, Woughton-on-the-Green Playing Fields, Brooklands Community Sports Pavilion and Broughton Community Sports Pavilion.

The company, who run 45 facilities nationally and has a turnover of £47m, has just secured a £2m overdraft from Lloyds Bank to help it expand.

It is now set to create 50 new jobs in MK, including personal trainers and exercise specialists, in the six months following the recent wins in Milton Keynes.

Neil King, managing director of 1Life Management Solutions, said: “By running leisure centres and community spaces, we can provide the local community with the facilities and technology they need to enable them to lead a healthy life.”

He added; “The funding from Lloyds Bank will give us the headroom to tender for new business and to continue to invest in our existing sites.”
