Cultivation Street, a national community gardening campaign championed by TV gardener David Domoney, supports and recognises community projects across the UK. This year, the coveted title has been awarded to Steven in recognition for all his work in Milton Keynes.

“This year, Steve has supported over 1,000 children at his free gardening sessions at Dobbies. He regularly shares his expertise with a local charity, four schools, a college and a hospital to improve their communal spaces. Steve even uses his own car to transport supplies to groups that can’t get to him. Great work, Steve!” said the judges.

“I still can’t believe I won, for me it’s what I do – whether it’s supporting a local group through our Helping Your Community Growscheme or hosting activities such as our Little Seedlings Club as well as Lego Holiday clubs to raise charity funds," said Steven.

"Supporting the local area is important to us and I am looking forward to all our events over the Christmas period in support of Teenage Cancer Trust.”
