Milton Keynes man receives prison sentence for GBH and criminal damage

Kris Formston, aged 37, of Cockerell Grove, Shenley Lodge, Milton Keynes, was convicted and sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court last week.

It follows an incident on Christmas Eve, 2015 in which the front door of a property in Wisley Avenue was damaged and a 42-year-old man was assaulted by Formston at the property.

He sustained a fractured eye socket, and was treated at Milton Keynes Hospital.

Formston was arrested the same day and was charged on March 13 this year.

He was sentenced to a total of 12 months’ imprisonment for GBH and criminal damage.

“I’m very pleased that Formston is now off the streets of Milton Keynes,” said investigating officer, Det Con Kim McHugh

“I would like to commend the victim for his bravery in coming forward and supporting the police in this investigation, and for giving evidence in court.

“This case shows that people who are the victims of violence can feel confident that by coming forward and talking to the police, action can and will be taken, and that offenders will face justice.”
