Milton Keynes man scoops luxury car worth £55,000

A Milton Keynes man says he is flabbergasted at scooping a luxury BMW X5 worth a whopping £55,000.

Alan Bradley from Two Mile Ash didn’t just take the car keys though - he also won £10,000 in cash with the supercar competition company, BOTB.

Alan was working on a contract to service the electrics at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club when he was called to pick up a parcel.

But he had no idea what was in store.

“I just can’t believe it,” he said.

“You always hope that one day it will be your turn but I can’t actually believe that day has arrived.

“I’m never normally lost for words but I can honestly say that I’m flabbergasted.”

Having passed pensionable age, Alan, 67, says he was seriously considering quitting his weekly playing with BOTB.

“Each week I was thinking I’ll have to stop this soon, especially as the pension pot needs looking after, but this has been an incredible piece of luck. Now I’ll have more control over my retirement.”

BOTB has surprised a winner with a dream car every week since its launch in 1999.

“This is the best job in the world - surprising someone with the keys to their dream car,” said company boss Will Hindmarch.

“We never know where they’re going to be but we always manage to track them down.

“There’s a huge team of people at BOTB involved in the winner’s surprise and the reaction on Alan’s face when we turned up just makes the whole thing worthwhile.”
