A site manager for one of Bellway Homes new flagship developments has been awarded The Pride in the Job award by NHBC.

Cliff Riley from Milton Keynes was awarded his prize last month after he missed the official awards event because he was taking part in the New York marathon for the Ronald McDonald Charity.

Pride in the Job has been running for 34 years and is the house-building industry’s most prestigious awards programme.

It is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building.

At 27 years old, Cliff has worked for Bellway Homes for seven years, and is the youngest member of the Bellway Northern Home Counties team to have been awarded such a prestigious award. It was his dedication and commitment to ensure the highest possible standards were achieved at every stage of the development of the Copper Beeches site in Wantage for which he was commended.

Cliff said: “It is a real honour to have my work recognised by NHBC and being presented with The Pride in the Job award. I feel incredibly proud.

“Whenever we embark on a new development the entire team work together to ensure the highest possible standards are achieved, and that the quality of workmanship is second to none.

“I am now looking forward to working on Studham Rise, and replicating the success we had with Copper Beeches in Wantage.”
