Milton Keynes MP receives poetic thank you

Mark Lancaster, MP for Milton Keynes North, is used to receiving constituents concerns each week, whether it's via email, by phone or at one of his regular surgeries.

One such concern was raised by Janet Brown at his constituency office in Linford Wood last week, who was concerned by rumours she had heard about MK’s green spaces.

Mark’s team soon reassured her, and that was the end of the issues. Or so so they thought.

But Janet sent a ‘thank you’ email to Mark to show her appreciation in verse.

“We support many constituents each week on a wide range of issues and we don’t always hear about the final outcome and so it was particularly touching to receive a thank you and even more so a thank you in such poetic form!” Mark said.

Protect our Green Spaces

Janet Brown

I heard a distressing rumour

only the other day,

that green space near my home

may soon be built on,

so I emailed my MP right away.

It did not take long

for me to receive a reply,

from Case Worker Richard Gates,

he said no plans for building,

the rumour was a lie.

Cannot imagine not been able

to see green space and trees,

just more and more houses,

more vehicles, more people,

some planning person to please.

So now I can sit back,

and enjoy the scene once more,

reassured that the green space

will remain looking as it is,

appreciated by me for sure!
