Milton Keynes MP welcomes government funding for innovative projects

Milton Keynes South MP Iain Stewart has welcomed the announcement that the Government is awarding Milton Keynes Council £175,000 to trial the use of cameras and sensors, some of which are laser, at key junctions in the city centre.

The objective is to gather information about the parking availability in the trail area to enhance motorists’ experience.

“As a new city designed to embrace the use of cars this is an exciting project that is another testimony on why Milton Keynes is seen as a leader in development of innovative transport solutions,” said Mr Stewart.

“I am not surprised that the government has decided to make this significant investment in Milton Keynes.”
