Milton Keynes residents celebrate Her Majesty's birthday with a friendship gathering
Residents of Tynemouth Rise in Monkston hosted a celebratory afternoon for the Queen's birthday on Saturday.
The rain stayed away as more than 50 residents and friends, from seven nationalities, gathered to mark the momentous occasion.
Children and adults signed a huge birthday card, a birthday tea was enjoyed and. with cup cakes in hand, everyone sang Happy Birthday to our monarch.
“Young and old then joined in races, tug of war and bubble blowing, or just sat, chatted and enjoyed making new friends,” said organisers.
