Milton Keynes residents urged to keep their Electoral Register records up to date

Residents in Milton Keynes are being reminded they need to keep their Electoral Register records up to date if they want to vote.

From this Wednesday (August 10) the annual Household Enquiry Forms will start to be delivered to every property in Milton Keynes.

The council is required to do this annually by law, to ensure records are up to date when the latest Electoral Register is published on 1 December.

The information currently held for the address will be pre-printed on them – and if there are any changes in your household, you need to make them known.

If there are no changes you can respond by internet, telephone or text or simply sign and return the form in the pre-paid envelope.

If you need to make changes including adding new electors then, again, respond online or by completing and returning the form.

If a new person needs to be added to the register they will also need to complete an individual form to complete their registration. This can be done online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote, or a form will automatically be sent to them to complete.

Residents are being asked to return the forms as soon as possible.
