Milton Keynes residents urged to get behind Recycling Week

Now the park’s operators Amey are appealing to all MK residents to get behind Recycle Week 2018 by pausing to think before they throw away their rubbish.
The annual awareness week – which runs from 24 September to 30 September – is encouraging people to asking themselves whether an item could be recycled before they put it in a black bag.

These include, school visits and scout groups sessions, and open days.
Amey’s education team has also compiled a series of fun and interactive material that can be downloaded off the Amey website and used at home to start a conversation on recycling.
Rob Edmondson, MD of Environmental Services at Amey, said: “The message behind this year’s Recycle Week is: Recycling. We do. Because it matters.

“Our team of waste operatives work up and down the UK collecting kerbside recyclates as well as managing a number of our waste treatment plants that are turning the residual waste in to energy.”
