Milton Keynes residents urged to Walk for Willen

The Willen Hospice Twilight Walk for Willen remembrance event takes place on Sunday, September 11 at the Hospice gardens and Willen Lake North.

Those attending the walk, which begins at 6pm, will be welcomed at the Willen Hospice gardens with refreshments; will then enjoy a peaceful stroll around Willen Lake North, before returning to the gardens at Willen Hospice for a twilight memorial lantern display as the sun sets over Willen Lake.

“Many of those who have been touched by the care we provide have a really special connection with the Hospice and its beautiful location here on the edge of Willen Lake,” said Rachel Tomlinson, Director of Nursing at Willen Hospice.

“Twilight Walk for Willen is an opportunity for those who wish, to come together in an evening of peaceful reflection and remembrance whilst supporting the ongoing work of Willen Hospice.”

Anyone wishing to register can find more and book spaces at www.willen-hospice.org.uk/twilight or call 01908 303055.

Registration for adults is £5 (£2 for Children) with lanterns £10.

All money raised will go towards supporting the specialist end-of-life care given at Willen Hospice, which costs around £7 every minute of the year to provide.
