Milton Keynes restaurant shortlisted for the British Curry Awards

Maaya Indian Kitchen & Bar is celebrating as it has been '˜Short-listed' for this year's British Curry Awards, also known as the '˜Curry Oscars' for the Indian restaurant industry.

The newly opened independent restaurant, located in The Hub, announced in September that it had been officially ‘nominated’ under the Best Newcomer category and now it has been confirmed as one of just a handful of restaurants ‘Short-listed’ for this prestigious award.

Judges will now visit the restaurant unannounced and the winner will be revealed at a glamourous celebrity-attended event on Monday 28 November held at the Battersea Evolution venue. The awards, in its 12th year, will be broadcast in over 200 countries across the world.

“I would like to thank the team behind me, the staff and the customers for believing in and supporting us. Today is a great day!”
