The Don Indian Restaurant has scooped top prize in the annual National Curry Life Awards in London.

It was voted best Indian restaurant in Buckinghamshire for the second year running.

The restaurant, located next to the Milton Keynes central station was founded by entrepreneur Aki Rahman who dropped out of university to fulfil his ambition of running his own business, despite objections from his family.

Aki, said: “This award is recognition for our ongoing commitment to give our customers the best possible experience.

“There are more than 60 restaurants in Milton Keynes but we aren’t afraid of the competition. It just inspires us to be better."
