Milton Keynes scouts say thank you for donations after campsite burglary

A popular scout camp that was targeted by burglars is finally able to replace some of its stolen items.

Crooks broke into the Quarries at Cosgrove, which is used by hundreds of local cubs, scouts, beavers, brownies and guides. They stole valuable tools and equipment used by the youngsters for camping. Then they had the cheek to return the next morning and drive off on the site’s sit-on lawn mower. Despite CCTV pictures, the crooks have not yet been found.

The 1st Stony Stratford scout group launched a public appeal to raise cash for the insurance excess to replace the lost items. This week they celebrated exceeding their target of £1,000.
