Milton Keynes soprano to perform at Wembley Stadium

Milton Keynes-based soprano Emily Haig will perform at Wembley Stadium next weekend.

The rising star will sing the National Anthem on the hallowed turf, not once, but twice during a historic double event on behalf of the Football Association.

The event, on May 22, will be the first time two finals, the FA Vase and the FA Trohpy will be played on the same day. Hereford FC will meet Morpeth Town AFC, followed by FC Halifax Town v Grimsby Town.

Both matches will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

“Although I have performed at football finals before, this is a huge and historic Wembley event and I am looking forward to seeing the crowd and hearing them join in with the Anthem,” Emily said.

“I hope they will be in good voice!”
