Students from The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Milton Keynes performed with kings of ‘popera’ G4 as part of their Christmas by Candlelight Tour.

The concert took place at Ely Cathedral to a packed audience.

It was a huge success with students performing with the famous vocal troupe on songs including:‘Silent Night’, ‘O Holy Night’, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, ‘Once In Royal David’s City’ and ‘O Little Town Of Bethlehem’.

Mike Christie from G4 told the PQA members: “We were blown away by your talented choir! It was a pleasure having you all on board, and I hope we can do it again at some point.”

PQA Principal Martin Lay said: “It was a huge honour being asked to perform with G4, students were thrilled, as were staff! It was an amazing experience, one that I am sure students will remember for a lifetime.”

The students from PQA Milton Keynes are also fresh from their red carpet cinema screening which took place at the Odeon cinema at Milton Keynes Stadium. This was an opportunity for students to showcase their short film and television projects to an invited audience of family and friends.

This December sees the students participating in their Trinity College London examinations ahead of a well-earned Christmas break.

PQA Milton Keynes runs on Saturdays from 9.45am-1pm and 1.45-5pm at Oakgrove School, Venturer Gate, Middleton, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK10 9JQ.
