Hundreds of people in Milton Keynes will have to travel up to 20 miles to Northampton to collect their City Link parcels.
And 90 people working at the company’s Milton Keynes office will “almost certainly” lose their jobs in the New Year.
The company announced on Christmas Eve it was going into administration, leaving employees fearing for their jobs and lorry loads of parcels stuck in depots all over the country.
Milton Keynes had its own City Link depot at Kingston until last year, when it stopped taking parcels and became solely a customer services centre.
This week all packages with Milton Keynes addresses have been sent to Northampton.
The depot is at Europa House, unit A Fairground Way, Riverside Business Park, NN3 9HU. It is open weekdays between 8am and 8pm and on Saturdays until noon.
It is expected depots will remain open for weeks, but City Link advises customers to collect parcels as soon as possible.
Meanwhile staff at the Kingston base are anxiously awaiting the redundancy announcements. Some have already been told not to come back to work.
