This free scheme recognises provision of healthy food and drinks and encourages the promotion of these healthy options.

There is a growing body of evidence to show the financial benefits achieved by organisations that implement employee well-being initiatives, including reduced sickness absence, improved productivity and reduced staff turnover. According to the Office of National Statistics 131 million days were lost due to sickness absences in the UK in 2013. Therefore, encouraging healthy eating alternatives for your workforce can be one way to significantly improve the health and wellbeing outcomes via the staff canteen/restaurant facilities.
