Milton Keynes Gallery is a new partner of the Tate’s contemporary visual arts network, which is expanding by 16 venues.
Plus Tate was launched in 2010 to share collections and expertise, at the same time as building a network to use the resources of Tate and its national partners across the UK.
Anthony Spira, MK Gallery director, said: “We look forward to being part of the Plus Tate network, sharing knowledge and experience with peers across the country for the benefit of our respective organisations and audiences.”
In addition to its main gallery exhibitions, MK Gallery has an extensive learning and public events programme, providing thousands of people each year with positive arts experiences.
MK Gallery’s “strong artistic vision, focus on contemporary art, outstanding public programming and a commitment to local community engagement through art” made for a winning application, said Plus Tate.
