THE city’s MPs Iain Stewart and Mark Lancaster recently visited Hazard Alley, a centre dedicated to providing safety education for young people.

Hazard Alley has about 20,000 visitors annually, and simulates emergency situations in order to provide safety training to children aged between 7 and 12 years.

The centre also houses conference rooms from which they provide first aid and fire training courses to corporate organisations.

The MPs had the chance to witness a retired Metropolitan Police officer, one of the centre’s many volunteers, providing children from schools in and around Milton Keynes with road safety lessons.

Milton Keynes North MP, Mr Lancaster said: “It’s a fantastic facility.

“The safety centre continues to be a real MK success story that deserves our support and provides excellent training.”

Milton Keynes South MP Mr Stewart, added: “It’s hugely beneficial for pupils to visit the Hazard Alley and learn basic skills in keeping safe. I congratulate Jan Alder and her team for all that they do.”
