MK Snap hopes the whole city will get behind their bid for viewers’ support in the online voting and win the big cash prize for an education and learning garden project at the centre in Walnut Tree.

MK Snap boss Maureen McColl said: “This project is about making gardening accessible to all, including those in wheelchairs and those with other disabilities.

“We would be able to offer them the same opportunity as everyone else to get involved in gardening, enjoy the health and well-being benefits from being outdoors, gaining life- skills, increasing self-confidence and feel valued.

“This project will save us money and make us money by providing produce for our cookery sessions and produce to sell in our social enterprise.

“If we win, the money will be used to fund the laying of fully accessible pathways and safety railing, a new a polytunnel, greenhouse and see the creation of a wildlife area.

“A vote for our project would be a vote for a life-long gift to adults with learning disabilities and the local community.”
