The city’s local radio station MKFM, which recently secured its FM licence, has made two big announcements.
This summer, MKFM will launch on 106.3FM - just as the team settle into their new studios inside the old police station. Darren Dorrington, managing director, said: “Everyone at the radio station is excited to be launching on 106.3FM this summer and after four years in our pod we can’t wait to open our new studios.
“We are truly grateful to everyone who has and continues to support us especially our team of volunteers and, of course, the Milton Keynes Citizen.”
Work is well underway on the new premises, which has three studios inside and is situation outside intu shopping centre.
The team hope to be moved in for their launch on 106.3FM later this summer.
