GIRLGUIDING Milton Keynes is looking for new volunteers to help carry on the tradition of guiding.

The group have enlisted the help of city MP Mark Lancaster, who visited the girls at Heron’s Lodge Guide Centre where he saw the Rainbows and Brownies in action.

The member for Milton Keynes North called such groups ‘brilliant’.

Mr Lancaster said; ‘It was great to see all of the girls learning different things in a fun way. The Rainbows were learning about the Queen, with little crown’s on their heads and the Brownies were having a competition as part of the teddy bear’s picnic.

“As a former scout, I know how brilliant these groups are especially for young girls.’

Girlguiding MK is looking for adult and young women volunteers who can help more girls across Milton Keynes take part in guiding.
