Musical collision is harmonious

Fully refreshed from a couple of weeks without artists trampling its two stages night after night, The Stables opens its doors for business again tomorrow night, although you’ll be lucky to hook yourselves up with a ticket for the first show back, by harmonisers Blake.

At the time of writing, only a smattering of tickets were left for the return show by the trio.

Blake will doubtless pull from their current album release, In Harmony at the Wavendon date.

Expect a collision of musical, pop and classical numbers, and more than a little rat-pack banter to boot.

Over on Stage 2, Ten Strings and a Goatskin will be charming with their trad/folk/fusion concoction celebrating the music of the Irish, Acadian, French and Maritime cultures.

A fiery and contagious sound is to be expected from the multiple nominees at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards who will stage step from 8.45pm.

On Saturday night Hats Off to Led Zeppelin do exactly what their name conjures up.

As a certain cartoon bunny used to say ‘That’s All, Folks,’ but only for a few days.

Settle back with next week’s issue of GO! for more good stuff from the small venue with the big reputation.

Meantime, if you want to book in this week, call the box office on 01908 280800.
