RED Hot World Buffet and Bar has received national recognition at the prestigious Hero and Icon Awards.

Held at the Mayfair Hotel, London on Thursday, November 17, the awards recognise the creativity, vibrancy and diversity of the eating and drinking out market in the UK.

The Theatre District based eatery received the much sought ‘Best Newcomer Brand of the Year 2011’ award – fending off tough competition from Bistro du Vin, Craft Beer Co and Franco Manca.

Judges praised the chain for ‘proving there’s not only life but a thriving eating-out market outside London if you have the right product.’

Chairman at Red Hot Buffet Kashmira Singh said: “This is truly a great honour for us as a growing business and to receive national recognition amongst many established brands is testament to our commitment to making Red Hot Buffet a recognised household name.”

In 2004, Red Hot Buffet employed just 24 members of staff, now in 2011 it currently employ 720 across the group, which includes 210 chefs and 20 management; many of which have been with the company since the very beginning.

The chain has six restaurants having recently opened Cardiff in October 2011.
