New Asda store seeks Milton Keynes-based charity to help celebrate its Oakridge Park opening

The soon to launch new Asda store at Oakridge Park, Milton Keynes, is searching for a worthy local cause to support in conjunction with its opening on Monday, October 10.

As part of its opening day celebrations, the store wants to help a local charity or project via a £250 donation. The winning group will also be invited to officially open the store, alongside the city’s mayor and the store colleagues.

“We want our store and its colleagues to be at the heart of the community, so we’re keen to help local projects from our very first day,” said Matthew Hayes, store manager at Asda Oakridge Park.

“Any project or charity, big or small, is welcome to apply for the support and we can’t wait to welcome them to Asda Oakridge Park on its opening day.”

Asda Oakridge Park will have a number of popular departments to offer Stantonbury shoppers including fresh produce, express pizza and rotisserie, bakery and a selection of world foods.

Shoppers heading to the store’s opening day can expect treats aplenty to sample, as well as well as an instore game with exciting prizes to be won.

Any local project can apply for the support by emailing their contact details and what they would do with the funding to [email protected].

The deadline for submitting entries is 30th September 2016. The winning project must be available between 9am and 10:30am on Monday 10th October.
