New city pageant presents ambassador opportunity for one lucky Mitlon Keynes woman

Do you have what it takes to be the face of Milton Keynes?

A new competition is looking for ladies aged between 18 and 27 to stand up and be counted.

Miss Great Britain MK is being brought to town by Ann Marie Davies, wife of former MK Dons manager Karl Robinson.

“As a pageant girl myself I feel competitions like this helped me to gain confidence over the years,” Ann Marie said. “It taught me to bring the qualities to my professional life as an actress of TV, theatreand film, and as a motivational presenter in schools and colleges.”

Ann Marie is passionate about the city, and runs her own shop, The Dress Empire, in Fenny Stratford.

Miss Great Britain MK Contestants will fundraise for The Henry Allen Trust, and there will be a Miss Charity Award for the girl who raises the most: “It’s an opportunity to get dressed up, gain in confidence, make a difference to the community and meet other girls,” Ann Marie added.

The girl who is crowned Miss GB UK at the black tie event being held at Wilton Hall in Bletchley on May 14 will then go on to represent MK in the national final.

A minimum of 20 girls will take part in the Wilton Hall event, but there will be space for 35 - could you be among the number?

Ann Marie has chosen our celebratory year to put Milton Keynes on the Miss GB map.
