YOUNGSTERS from St Andrews School enjoyed a spell in the spotlight when they officially opened the new-look Co-operative food store in Great Linford.
The students relished their star status and cut the ribbon with store manager Neville Kerry to mark the occasion. In addition to their fifteen minutes of fame, the pupils received a donation of £200 for their school.
Neville Kerry, store manager, said: “As a community retailer it is appropriate we involve the community in our special events and we are delighted our school is playing a central role in the re-launch of our store.”
The shop has been upgraded with contemporary décor, a new layout, and an increase in fresh foods.
