An inspirational group of young business people has appointed its first president and vice-president.
Next Generation Chamber was launched by Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce and its sister Chamber in Northamptonshire to help businesses nurture young members of staff by offering them regular personal development sessions and networking events.
In less than a year it has attracted about 100 members and its new committee has just appointed Connor Slasberg as its president and Jade Day as its vice-president.
Connor, who is a customer development manager at dbfb, said: “To be part of the inaugural committee was an honour and to be voted in as president is the icing on the cake.
“Our committee has so much potential and it’s very exciting that together we will shape the future of Next Generation Chamber.”
Jade, who is Whittlebury Hall’s event sales manager, added: “I’m very proud to be the first vice-president of the Next Generation Chamber committee as it is developing into an amazing concept.
“I’m excited to be able to assist with leading the organisation and helping it to reach its full potential.”
Chamber chief executive Paul Griffiths said: “We are thrilled to announce that Connor and Jade have been chosen by their peers to be Next Generation Chamber’s president and vice-president.
“They are so enthusiastic about their careers and industries and have brought this enthusiasm with them to Next Generation Chamber.
“They are fantastic ambassadors for the Chamber and we are all very excited to see how Next Generation Chamber will develop with their and the rest of the committee’s support.”
Next Generation Chamber’s patrons are respected top 40 accountancy firm Mercer & Hole and the award-winning University of Northampton.
