There was no snow in Milton Keynes last night or this morning, to the disappointment of anyone hoping for a day off school or work.
Heavy snow had been forecast by weather bosses at the Met Office, but the city instead escaped the worst of the cold snap which hit much of the UK.
Even parts of the Saudi Arabia were reporting snowfall this morning.
However Milton Keynes has still been issued a ‘yellow warning’ of high winds from this afternoon through to tomorrow night.
Severe gales are predicted along the south coast, with possible disruption to transport and power supplies.
