Sixty new jobs are to be created at the Odeon’s new flagship cinema at MK1.
The new recruits, including managers, technicians, retail staff and cleaners will officially start work at the unveiling of the state-of-the-art 11 screen cinema next Friday, February 27.
The new cinema, which will feature a custom designed IMAX screen, will be run by a team of over 70 people. From audio and visual technicians to retail staff and cleaners, the team will bring one of the most technologically advanced cinemas in the country to Milton Keynes.
The move from the current ‘The Point’ cinema will see the number of staff increase from 12 to 70.
New general manager, Stephen Shaw, said: “The cinema is truly stunning and I cannot wait to show the local community all it has to offer. My team and I are looking forward to creating inspiring entertainment experiences for each and every guest.”
The first films to be shown at Odeon Milton Keynes Stadium will include:

>Shaun The Sheep Movie
>Big Hero 6
>Fast and Furious 7: The IMAX Experience®.
