A Vauxhall fanatic has shown a bumper dose of loyalty by purchasing his 75th new car from the same city dealership.
Alan Cinch and his wife Avis have bought enough Vauxhalls to fill two football pitches during the past three decades.
They average just over two brand new cars a year.
All the cars have come through the Thurlow Nunn dealership in Towergate - and the family has never gone Astra-y and bought from elsewhere.
Now the couple’s daughter Judy has caught the Vauxhall bug too.
She said; “When we ring the team at Thurlow Nunn they know exactly who are and we are all on first name terms. We just like Vauxhalls.”
The dealership’s sales manager David Hyde said: “This family is fantastically loyal. We’re extremely happy to have them as customers.”
Alan and Avis bought their first Vauxhall in the 1980s. Since then they’ve snapped up everything from Astras and Omegas to Chevettes and Corsas.
