One union cancels bank holiday strike action
The Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA) said it has suspended a planned bank holiday strike after receiving an improved offer from Network Rail bosses.

Hide AdHowever members of the RMT union - which has five times as many members - are still set to strike.
The RMT has previously said its strike would bring the network “to a standstill”, and with rail operators such as London Midland and Virgin Trains cancelling services throughout Monday and Tuesday as a result.
Chiltern Railways and London Midland have confirmed they are running normal bank holiday services.
