A charity shop in Stony Stratford is re-opening this weekend following extensive refurbishment work.
The ribbon will be cut at the Oxfam shop in the High Street on Saturday, August 15 at 10am by dedicated volunteer Jean England.
Jean has been working for Oxfam in Stony Stratford for 44 years, the whole time Oxfam has had a presence in the town.
The ‘bard’ of Stony Stratford will also deliver a poem and a celebration cake will be cut.
The shop has been closed for a couple of weeks for updating works including a new carpet, new sign, work to lighting, painting and decorating and a new toilet for the volunteers.
All are welcome to visit the new-look shop which will be offering lots of new bargains.
