Pensioner airlifted to hospital after crashing car into a house

A pensioner broke both her legs after driving her car into a house on Friday.

The woman, who is in her 70s, had to be cut from the vehicle, before straightening and splinting her injuries while sedated.

She was then flown by helicopter to Coventry Major Trauma Centre where she was in a serious, but stable condition.

Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance were unable to provide an exact address, but say the incident happened in Deanshanger at around 3pm on Friday afternoon.
