Pensioner dies after mobility scooter collision outside hospital


A pensioner has died after his mobility scooter was in collision with a car outside Milton Keynes University Hospital.

The 75-year-old man was being treated for life-threatening injuries in hospital since the incident on April 20, but he died on Friday.

Thames Valley Police is now continuing to appeal for witnesses following a collision in Milton Keynes.

PC Phil Hanham, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “Sadly the man who was riding the mobility scooter has now died following the collision.

“I would continue to urge anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information about what happened to speak to the police.”

The driver of the blue Ford Escort vehicle, a man in his eighties, was not injured.

Any witnesses should call PC Ian Stevens on 101, quoting URN 307 20/4.
