A heartbroken pensioner had her handbag stolen as she lay flowers on her dead mum’s grave on Mother’s Day.
The callous crook smashed the rear window of the victim’s car to steal the bag from the boot.
He ran off with a gold pen from the 78-year-old’s late mother, rosary beads and a brooch and necklace which belonged to her partner and were family heirlooms.
Bank cards, keys and mobile phones were also stolen from the car park in Crownhill Crematorium between 1.45pm and 2.10pm.
PCSO Gemma Gibbs said: “The victim was extremely upset and heartbroken that someone could be so cruel as to do this while she visited her mother’s grave.
