19 new coronavirus cases confirmed in one week in Milton Keynes

The total number of cases in the city since the start of the pandemic is now 898.

Nationally, the infection rate is also rising, with 1,062 new cases recorded between Saturday and Sunday.

Happily though the UK's death toll over the same period was low, with just eight fatalities.

There have been no new deaths due to Covid-19 at MK hospital.
