346 more Covid cases and high number of virus-linked deaths recorded in Milton Keynes today

The deaths happened at MK hospital and in the community over the past week but have only just now been officially recorded by the government.

The city's official death toll is now 270, while 12,355 people have had positive tests since the start of the pandemic.

MK's infection rate has today risen to 945.2 cases per 100,000 population.

Nationally the figures for both new infections and deaths were the worst ever today, with 62,322 people testing positive and 1,042 people dying.
