A soft play centre proved popular as soon as it re-opened yesterday.

360 Play in Knowlhill was forced to close its doors in December last year due to Covid restrictions. At first founder and managing director Duncan Phillips thought it would only be for a few weeks.

“The coronavirus crisis has had deep and wide impacts on our city, our families and many of the local businesses that serve them. Some of the most impacted and yet least talked about are our children," he said.

"As a father of two boys I have seen some of the impacts this latest lockdown has had on them which is why I am so pleased we can open up our attraction for local families to be able to come and enjoy some play time without screens."

Mum of under under fours Sophie was one of the first visitors to the centre yesterday.

“ ’m so happy to get out of my house and let my children have some freedom and fun whilst I have a hot coffee and know that they are safe and happy," she said: "This is like a second home to us and we have missed it so much”

360 Centre Manager Chloe Twiselton said: “The second lock down has been very hard on many of our staff and so we are really pleased to be able to get back to doing what we love here at 360, and hopefully put some smiles back on our customers faces.

"We will keep in place our Covid safe operating procedures and be limiting numbers while we steadily emerge from the latest lockdown. I have been with 360 Play for eight years now and have really missed seeing the centre full of life over the last few months so I and all the team are loving the noise our first customers are making with us

today.”

360 Play was founded in Milton Keynes more than 10 years ago and now has seven play centres across the South East and South Midlands.
