Hayley Brice is appealing for people all over MK and beyond to pop a card for Joyce in the post to arrive by October 2.

"To receive 100 cards would make her day extra special," she said.

Hayley, who is activity coordinator at the Beaverbrook Court home, added: "Joyce was born in 1920, has lived through through the 'roaring 20's' after WW1 and also lived and worked through WW2.

Joyce's family describe her as a wonderful lady and are delighted with the appeal. One relative said: "It's just hard not being able to have the big celebrations with her as we had planned...This is such a lovely idea."

All cards should be sent to Joyce at Bletchley House, Beaverbrook Court, Bletchley, Milton Keynes. MK3 7JS.

"We can do this!" said Hayley. "Everyone please share this post to get the word out."
