Online sessions for new parents and their babies are proving a hit in MK.

Sophie Lamming, who owns Baby Sensory and Mini Professors MK, was worried about new parents struggling with isolation and lack of support during Covid restrictions.

Normally her classes at local are a social hub for babies and parents but since last March she has only been allowed to run seven face to face sessions due to lockdown, tiers and other restrictions.

Sophie took to Zoom to launch a programme of classes with theme weeks including baby development, support, play ideas and interaction. She includes extra free activities with other companies to provide support with breastfeeding, weaning, fitness, relaxation and first aid.

"We're now in our third lockdown and going strong," she said. "This week we had over 100 babies logging in."

One mum said: "It's so fun to do and helps build confidence with how to interact with your baby, especially if it's your first."

Another said: "We cannot wait for face to face sessions to be back but until then we love the live and catch up sessions."

The classes cost £25 for five weeks and can be booked by emailing Sophie at [email protected] .
