Bank launches new service to deliver cash to customers' doorsteps in Milton Keynes
A bank in Milton Keynes has taken the worry out of business customers collecting and delivering cash to them.
Metro Bank Midsummer branch in Central Milton Keynes has launched a new on-demand cash collection and delivery service.
They are offering to give business owner more security and save them vital time by delivering and collecting cash at their doorstep on request.
The bank’s research also reveals two in five business people that handle cash (44%) have felt vulnerable carrying cash from their premises. And more than a quarter of them have been threatened, while a similar proportion have been robbed or physically harmed.
Called MCash, the service will be managed through Metro Bank’s mobile app. business customers will be able to log on and select a day for a cash pick-up or drop-off from as close as 24-hours away, and up to a week in advance.
The service was initially launched in a handful of Metro Bank stores at the end of last year and the service has now been rolled out to other banks, including Metro at CMK.

The service solves the age-old problem of how to support small businesses that need to deposit and withdraw notes and coins, while considering their frequent time pressures to get to the bank. Metro Bank’s new service promises to give SMEs back vital time, that can better be spent running and growing their businesses.”
Metro Bank customers currently make up to 250,000 trips to deposit or withdraw cash att banks every year, with cash deposits of more than £30 million made every month.
The initiative is launched in partnership with RMS Group Services – a leading provider of cash in transit services.
The service will be available for sole traders and single director limited companies. based within a 30-mile radius of the Metro Bank store.
