The kittens were part of a large feral colony found living near a major road in MK this month.

All the rescued adults were healthy and have been relocated to safer areas, but sadly the kittens had a string of health issues, including infected eyes and digestive problems.

"One little boy had such a badly infected eye that it had to removed. He's recovering well from that but, like the other kittens, he is still suffering from an upset tummy," said a charity spokesperson.

"They have had various tests done and are being treated with antibiotics but we've found they are doing so much better on Royal Canin kitten food - they particularly like the pouches."

The spokesperson added: "Covid has hit our finances in a big way and unfortunately this food is not cheap so we're appealing for help so we can keep their tummies full."

The food is available from Amazon here on the wishlist for the RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks branch. But it is cheaper from Zooplus here.

The kittens are not yet available for adoption, but they will be as soon as they are strong and healthy enough.

The Milton Keynes & North Bucks RSPCA branch helps to rescue and re-home cats and small animals from all over the borough..

It is a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and relies upon the support of the public and businesses to help it continue its vital work of helping animals in need. The team consists of a small but dedicated group of volunteers who work for the welfare and benefit of the animals.
